Traditional Thursday!

Welcome to Traditional Thursday! What's Traditional Thursday, you ask? Well, keep reading and you'll find out ;)

During Traditional Thursday I will blog about my favorite scenes from movies. Let's start at the beginning of the timeline, The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey.

Now Presenting:
Bilbo Baggin's Home
An Overview by Anna

This is, by far, my most favorite scene in The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey, besides the Rivendell Scene. All the dwarves coming together and laughing, singing, feasting in Bilbo's house makes you crack a smile, even if you don't particularly like The Hobbit.
The concept of the dwarves walking in, like they have been informed is hilarious in itself as they communicate with the others, but what makes it a whole lot better is the fact that
Bilbo had been left out on the plan.
As the chaos begins, and increases as time moves on, Bilbo still tries to be a good host.
But the whole scene isn't just about humor-
it gives the viewers an overview of each and every (main) character, from the time Dwalin shows up to the time that Bilbo wakes the next day. It shows the manners of Bilbo, the fun-loving youngness of Fili and Kili, and the hard, cold humor of Thorin as he comes in and all partying is stopped.

Well, that's all I have for today- Thank you for stopping by! -Anna

Wrongly-Filmed Wednesdays!

Welcome to Wrongly-Filmed Wednesdays! Actually posted on the right day! It's late here where I am, but it's still Wednesday! Well, let's get started-

Order of Buisness: Two Mistakes in- The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey

Number 1: Fili mysteriously morphs into Ori...

moviemistakes.com is pretty much the best place you can go for movie mistakes. They point out pretty much every single mistake in a movie. It's honestly your best research-

but yep. As you can see, Fili mysteriously turns into Ori. It's not that big a deal, but it's still a fun fact to know- it's understandable, really. Perhaps Dean O'Gorman (Fili) was needed somewhere else and Adam Brown (Ori) had to fill in.

Number 2: Door closes on it's own.

Remember this hilarious scene, with the two dwarven brothers? (My favorite is Fili, by the way ;) ) Well, after their introductions, they walk inside, the door still open. But after they all settle, and Bilbo goes back, the door is closed for when he opens it for Gandalf and the dwarves. Well, I suppose maybe Gandalf closed it and then knocked? The world may never know.

Well, that's all I have for today! See you around. -Anna

Tasty Tuesday! - A day late!

Welcome to Tasty Tuesday! Here's some awesome cakes, and some awesome treats from both LOTR/The Hobbit!

Treat 1: This awesome cake that looks both amazing and mouth-watering

Gosh, I'd probably go to Mordor and back just for this cake!
If I had a horse...
And Aragorn was waiting at the end of the trail...

Treat 2: The even-more-awesome book cake

Now this is truly amazing.
Seems impossible, and I'd probably be afraid to eat it because it's just so beautiful!

Treat 3: Lembas!!!

Now this one actually has a tutorial, in which you can watch Here!
Doesn't that look good?!
Treat 4: Cutest Cupcakes In The World

Aren't these just cute?! It was the absence of Boromir, but they're still adorable.
(though I'd think fondant Boromir would be the cutest thing ever-)
Treat 5: Smaug

Now this is truly amazing. Just, wow.
I doubt I could ever do that.
I doubt Peeta could do that.
And Peeta-

Well, that's all we have for today! Thanks for stopping by :3 -Anna

Meme Monday - Apologies for delay on posts!

Welcome to Meme Monday! First off, sorry for the delay of posts! I'll put up Tuesday's, as well as Wednesday's today. Well, let's get on with it, shall we?

Meme 1: Hipster Aragorn

He knows what hunts you...
but you've probably never heard of them.

Meme 2: ERMAHGERD - HERBIT MEME!

Because. Just Because.

Meme 3: Tell 'em.

If someone tell you you're a man...
well, you kind of have to tell them you're not.
Unless you are a man.
Cause that would be weird.

Meme 4: Drunken Hobbits

Challenge accepted, bro.

Meme 5: Never, Aragorn. Never.

Nope.
I thought you were smarter than that.
But oh well ;)

And that's all we have for Meme Monday. See you around soon!

Story Saturday!

Hey there! Welcome to Story Saturday- I know a lot of LOTR fans enjoy fanfiction, so here I will bring awesome LOTR and Hobbit fanfictions to your plate :)

1. Healing the Healers

This fanfiction is very good- it's written by Eildon Rhymer on fanfiction.com . Here's the summary-

"Sickness has come to Minas Tirith. Aragorn is doing what he can, but it is not just the sick of the city who need care, but their healers, too."

Now doesn't that just sound exciting?! I think so too- heck, I know it's good.

-no cover available-

2. Queen of the Swords/Lord of the Rings

This fanfiction is from Wattpad, written by Obrien_has_ styles . The summary-

"Secrets are secrets, and Esmeralda's path is unknown to her. But walls start breaking down, and she finds out the worst secrets of them all. Will she overcome it and with the help of the Fellowship, it seems possible. But even the strongest bonds break..."

Well isn't that interesting? I love this story, it's amazing. :3

That's all I have for today. See you on Monday! Love you all. -Anna

Fact Friday!!!

Hey there! Today's Friday, and everyone knows what that means! No...? Today is Fact Friday, where each Friday I will post 5 new facts about Lord of the Rings/The Hobbit. So without further-ado, let's start.

Fact 1: Sauron, the creator of ONE ring.

Yep. You know those twenty rings of power, as described in The Prophecy, as well as the prologue scene in The Fellowship of the Ring? Yep. Well, plot twist! The elves created 19 of the rings, leaving Sauron to only create the One Ring. The elves forged their rings, the dwarven rings, and the rings of Men. But because behind their back, Sauron created the One Ring, he was allowed to make that ring do whatever the heck he wanted, AKA destroy Middle Earth and take over.

Fact 2: In a way, Aragorn and Elrond are related.

If you look at the family tree, of both Elrond and Aragorn, you can tell-

As you can see, Elrond has a brother named Elros, who became the King of Numenor. Aragorn is descendant of Numenor, so in a way, you can suppose that Elrond is great, great, great, (add around 50 more greats) uncle to Aragorn. This may also be a reason that Gilraen, Aragorn's mother, fled to Rivendell and gave Aragorn to Elrond to keep as his son after Arathorn's death.

Fact 3: Aragorn's lip-scar is not fake.

Have you ever noticed Aragorn's scar, just above the lip?

Well, that's not awesome-movie-make-up-artist work. That scar is Viggo Mortensen's own scar-

See? It's his own. As spoken by Viggo in an interview or something, when the actor was 19, he accidentally crashed face-first into a barbed wire fence on Halloween. Oops...!
They had considered editing out the scar in the movie, but Peter Jackson decided to keep it, as it made Aragorn look more weather-beaten, and more ranger-like.

Fact 4: Pippin's scream is real.

Remember this hilarious scene from Fellowship of the Ring?

And then, remember the scream Pippin let out when it blew up in their faces? Well, that scream was entirely true. Billy Boyd was not informed exactly when the firework would go off, and when it did, he must've thought there was more time before it did, because his high-pitched scream was real.

Fact 5: Arwen and Aragorn were related long before marrige...

As mentioned before, Elrond is Aragorn's great, great, great, ect. uncle. Well, Elrond's daughter was Arwen, making Aragorn and Arwen cousins... 63 times removed... awkward! Perhaps that's another reason why Elrond was so skeptical about their marrige... And considering you techincally shouldn't marry your cousin, and Eowyn is so happy with Faramir, that makes me a perfect candidate for Aragorn! Right?! Right...?

Well, there's your weekly dose of LOTR facts! Next week will be Hobbit related facts :3 See you around! -Anna
